Planning - Props/ Equipment

Why used?
I have used these costumes because it links in to what I would expect the genre of dnb and dubstep to be dressed as in a nightclub, the clothes will also be stereotypical to what a typical teenager would wear and this mean it can also connect to my target audience which is teenagers.
I have used the headphones as I think that they look a bit like a DJ’s headphones look like so I can try them on both of the models as I can then see who they suit better.
I have used the electric guitar as I think that it can link to house music because if you tune it properly it sounds techno which means that the music which it plays relates to the genre and it also looks stylish and would look good on the front of the music magazines.
I have used two images of the lights as it shows how I can change the lighting so that it changes the final pictures.
The blinds which I will use could also change the amount of lighting which comes through the blind; this means that I can have effects which would face onto the wall and other effects.
For the disco ball I would have the lighting down and I would have it going round in a circular motion, this would create different effects on the models and on the backgrounds.
The laptop relates to the modern side of dnb music as most of the music which is released is usually edited through computers/ laptops so if you combine both the headphones and the laptop it looks as though they are editing the music.

Connotation
Most of the props also have an underlying meaning:
Headphones – power, control, emotional
Electric Guitar – creative, powerful
Microphone – confident, powerful
Laptop – creative, modern
As you can see most of the props include the factor of power and this shows how much power the music industry has as it can change people views and ideas.
